Hydor Koralia Wavemaker Controller 4-Way Deluxe

The Hydor Koralia Wavemaker system is designed specifically for use connected to the Koralia 12V pumps (Koralia Nano 12V, Koralia #1 12V, Koralia # 2 12V, Koralia # 3 12V & Koralia # 4 12V). The Wavemaker 4 can control four Koralia 12V pumps (pumps not included).THIS PRODUCT WILL NOT WORK WITH PUMPS OTHER THAN THE KORALIA 12V PUMPS.

The new WaveMaker 4 system guarantees great flexibility by controlling up to 4 Koralia 12V low voltage pumps (even different models). The numerous programs offered and the many possibilities of customization allow to recreate the water movements and tidal effects that are beneficial for reef aquariums. The preset programs, synchronized, sequential, alternate and additive can be customised depending on the needs of SPS/LPS corals and minimum and maximum flow of each pump. The Marine-keeper has everything under control with a glance at the 2.5? LCD monitor that shows the selected program and the activity of each pump. WaveMaker 4 has also 2 extra features: FOOD mode, pumps slow down to the minimum for approx. 5 minutes to allow aquarium feeding; NIGHT mode, pumps again slow down to a minimum but for a longer period of time, which can be programmed or set automatically by connecting the photocell (not included).

The Koralia Wavemaker* is a dedicated system that accepts up to two or four, low-voltage Koralia Controllable Pumps of any model. Expands custom options for outstanding water movement in aquariums of all sizes. Timer-controllable alternating or synchronous flow modes recreate natural wave or tidal effects. Adjustable flow rate fine-tunes water movement to satisfy the needs of your aquarium and its inhabitants. Use optional Night Mode Photo Sensor to automate wavemaker Night Mode. Koralia Controllable Pumps require Koralia Wavemaker Pump Controller for operation. Koralia Magnum Controllable Pumps generate powerful, wide spread water stream ideal for larger reef aquariums with SPS corals. Connects to the Koralia Wavemaker 4-way Deluxe and 2-way Basic** for greater water movement that you can control.

Wavemaker Functions:

ALTERNATE FLOW: With the Wavemaker you can create quick alternate pulse-like flows for a wake effect, or have a tidal effect by settings the flow to anywhere from one to six hour alternate periods. Alternating between the four pumps can be anywhere from a minimum of two seconds to a maximum of six hours.

SYNCHRONOUS FLOW MODE:The four pumps can be set to gradually increase flow from a minimum to a maximum setting.


  • Great Flexibility:
    • 1 or 2 Koralia 12V low voltage pumps, same or different models.

    • 2 blue LEDs on front panel indicate pump setting and functioning.

  • Wave or Tide Effect:
    • WAVEMAKER can produce a wave effect setting the timer between 2 and 15 seconds or a tide effect switching the flow on and off every 1 to 6 hours.

    • The power of the pumps can be set by operation on the minimum and maximum controls to better suit the needs of the aquarium and its inhabitants.

  • Setting Pump Function Mode:
    • Alternate Flow Mode - With pumps on eat each side of the aquarium operating on minimum and maximum controls, the flow can have a wave or tide effect, ideal for reef setting.

    • Synchronous Flow Mode - Pumps operate simultaneously at minimum or maximum flow and can be set to on/off mode to create strong tidal effects.

  • Food Mode:
    • Easy function to allow feeding of fish and invertebrates in reef aquariums. Just click on the SET button and the pumps are put on hold for 5 min.

  • Manual or Automatic Night Mode:
    • In this mode the pumps can be slowed down during the night and turned back to the set speed during the day.

    • Night Mode - Indicated by a red LED, can come on automatically by using the photo-electric cell (not included, sold separately, EU code JH1900, USA code JH1901) which detects the aquarium illumination.

  • Cooling Fan:

    For maximum safety, WAVEMAKER is equipped with a super quiet cooling fan that regulates its speed as necessary.

      NOTE: Wavemaker Controller only controls 12 Volt controllable Hydor Koralia Pumps


Attention: Before operating the Koralia Controllable Pump, please verify that all components are undamaged, especially the cord. Before any kind of maintenance or intervention, ALWAYS disconnect electrical supply of any appliance placed in the water. Make sure to position the Koralia Wavemaker Pump Controller in a safe and dry place. It should be protected from accidental water splashes, humidity, moisture, and calcium/salt deposits in order to prevent any accidental electrical shock.

  • Position the desired number of Hydor Koralia Controllable Pumps (any controllable model - Nano, 1, 2, 3, or 4.) in the aquarium. Make sure the Koralia Controllable Pumps are completely underwater to prevent potential harm to aquarium inhabitants or splashing water.
  • Apply the Anti-Electromagnetic Interference Magnet on the pump cords.
  • Apply the Anti-Slip Supports on the bottom of the Koralia Wavemaker Controller.
  • Connect the pumps to the Koralia Wavemaker Controller, making sure that the connectors are inserted properly in the slot and the terminals click into place.
  • Connect the Koralia Wavemaker Controller to the power supply.
  • Turn on the Koralia Wavemaker Controller by bringing the On/Off switch to the "I" position.
  • Moments after the Koralia Wavemaker Controller is turned on, the controller will carry out standard systems check (approximately 15 seconds) to make sure that all components are ready. All LEDs will light up and pumps will start at the "Alternate Flow" mode.
  • Set the Koralia Wavemaker Controller to better suit the needs of the aquarium by turning the Pulse/Flow/Timer knob and the "minimum" and "maximum" flow power knobs. Make sure the "minimum" and maximum" are never set equal. The "maximum" power should always be more than the "minimum" power setting.
