AquaFuge PRO is the latest in a line of refugiums from CPR Aquatic, Inc.

The AquaFuge PRO is a sump-based refugium which incorporates an innovative system that harnesses the natural filtering capacity of a refugium and the waste-processing power of a protein skimmer. Helps improve water quality naturally and creates a stable aquarium environment, cleaner water, increased biodiversity, and less nuisance algae. Cultivate live rock, live sand, macroalgae, or live food source for your reef system.

Refugiums can be used to cultivate food sources such as algae and micro-fauna, while also being used for nutrient export from a marine system.

The AquaFuge PRO is designed for use with various mediums including mud, live sand, and live rock.

The AquaFuge PRO has an unique baffle design prevents disturbance of substrate, perfect for mud based biological filtration. Separate chamber allows for chemical filtration. Includes External Filter/Refugium, and RIO 600 AquaPump/Powerhead to run the protein skimmer.

  • In Arcata, located in Northern California, the sea is a way of life. From the advanced Marine Biology department at Humboldt State University, just up the hill from us, to Humboldt Bay, about a mile west, we're fortunate to be in a perfect environment to develop equipment for marine aquariums. CPR was started in a small garage in 1987 to produce biological filters for local aquarists. People who used CPR filters were impressed by the high quality and affordable prices. Word spread, and we grew. Since then, we have expanded to a 10,000 sq. ft. production facility and have developed the innovative product line you see here. We're adding new ideas all the time. Our basic goal is to allow you to put the highest performing systems in your customers' hands at reasonable prices.
